is anybody playing reviliark yet? Yes, flashing in sulfur elemental does beat the combo. But why augur? Mudbottom torchrunner seems better, since he essentially doesn't have to stick around the whole turn to do damage. I'm also unsure of threaten without a sac outlet of some sort.

Well, I built this yesterday due to boredom, though I'm lacking the shards, scrolls, and 1 browbeat. I'm still not sure i'd run threaten though. I'm sure I'd rather have skred or work of siezing in the board for critters/enchantments etc. I also thought about putting a couple or a few crucibles in the board for that janky ass LD deck that pissed me off friday.

where's Gargs? I would think he'd be incredible especially with Threaten. Also, if Blink.dec is a problem then Sudden Shock could make an appearance.

perhaps, though i think sulfie b should be enough. Though I had pondered throwing some of those nice new foily crypts in the board for these goddamned blink/reveliark decks.

Sulfie B! Yeah, they are pretty tasty. I don't think you need to worry about the Revelark decks though Crypt would also be cool for Reanimator if it gains popularity.

I fished this last night and found it to be pretty efficient, though I'm not entirely sold on magus of the scroll yet. More often than not he's a 1 drop that does nothing but swing. I have seen that this deck can kill turn 4-5, which should give us an extremely good matchup vs. manaquin (though it isn't played much). T1 mogg followed by a t2 marauder and a turn 3 suspended bolt and augur = gg bitches (this happened about 30% of the games i solo'd last night). That being said, maybe -4 magus +4 sparkie b.

Ol' Sparkles is only good if you have a clear path, otherwise it may be better to replace Magus with more in yo' face burn.

Yeah, I think there are lots of decks in Type 2 that just have no lifegain or counterspells, and I think you can race just about any creature deck. Also, I think Magus is worth more damage than Sparky. For example, even if you just play him turn one, get 1-2 attacks in, activate him once or twice, then he dies...it's pretty easy for him to deal more than three, and Sparky won't always get in there, he's a pretty bad topdeck lategame. So I'd suggest Magus. Spark Elemental might be better than some other stuff though.

On a good note, I was extremely impressed with browbeat. I never drew it and thought 'why isn't this something else?' Casting one on turn 3-4 is always going to be huge, usually because they're going to be @ 15 life or less, alot of people say its a terrible draw spell, which it is. The fact is, you don't play browbeat as a draw spell as much as you do a 3cc beacon. I just wish char or an equivalant was still in print, a 4 damage spell would be nice.

1 Vivid Crag
2 Yavimaya Coast
4 Karplusan Forest
3 Faerie Conclave

4 Looter il-Kor
4 Mogg Fanatic
4 Keldon Marauders
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Greater Gargadon
4 Threaten
1 Fatal Frenzy
4 Rift Bolt
4 Psionic Blast
4 Incinerate
SB: 1 Fatal Frenzy
SB: 3 Ancient Grudge
SB: 3 Manabarbs
SB: 2 Sower of Temptation
SB: 4 Sulfur Elemental
SB: 2 Jace Beleren

just something to think about...

also, here's an old deck called Johnny Walker Red that kinda reminds me of TimCrites.dec in that it's pretty efficient except that it plays such big spells that it has to play a lot of lands, giving itself virtual card disadvantage. However, unlike TimCrites.dec, JWR's lands do something.
3 Coalition Relic
4 Mind Stone
4 Mogg Fanatic
4 Mogg War Marshal
4 Siege-gang Commander
1 Furnace Of Rath
4 Beacon Of Destruction
4 Incinerate
3 Chandra Nalaar
4 Molten Disaster
12 Mountain
2 Fungal Reaches
4 Ghitu Encampment
3 Keldon Megaliths
3 Zoetic Cavern
1 Kher Keep
1 Pendelhaven
61 cards

Sideboard:
3 Pithing Needle
1 Furnace Of Rath
4 Sulfurous Blast
3 Jaya Ballard, Task Mage
4 Browbeat

i guess bamraiders=ram-gang. i dunno if sligh-style creature heavy decks are the way to go, you turn all your opponent's removal on and i'm not sure that's a good thing. it still may be powerful enough though with tattermuge maniac around. i think that guy will be awesome of course, but probably not any of the 3-drops, including crusher.

Oh,well ya i can make it a straight burn version too but if thats the case, you'd probably want browbeats or brutal visions from shadowmoor (and ya i ment Boggart Ram-Gang,i dont know why the hell i typed that)

yeah brutal visions i think might be too expensive but i do like browbeat. also it will DEFINITELY play 4 everlasting torment sb. i think that makes creatures basically take twice as much damage because the creature gets -1/-1 counters then the damage isn't prevented by wither. seems almost as good as sulfuric vortex.

Dan Paskins' list for RDW 2k8, from Star City:
4 Tattermunge Maniac
4 Mogg Fanatic
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Keldon Marauders
4 Fulminator Mage
3 Murderous Redcap
4 Incinerate
4 Tarfire
4 Rift Bolt
3 Lash Out
4 Karplusan Forest
1 Pendelhaven
3 Fire Canopy
2 Mutavault
2 Forest
10 Mountain

Seems good to me. I'm surprised at zero Treetops though.

Funny thing... without Goyf that list would be crap. I think the R/g Sligh or the straight to the dome deck I posted is the way to go. I have to get caught up on the spoiler so I'll probably make changes...

ya i dunno if murderous redcap is really that good but he was writing a preview article for it so i guess he had to include it. i see no reason why flame javelin couldn't be played though, especially with 4 fire canopies. like 80% of the lands produce red.
