4 - Goblin Assault
4 - Bitterblossom
3 - Sarkhan Vol
4 - Predator Dragon
3 - Furystroke Giant
4 - Chamelon Colossus

4 - Gilt-Leaf Palace
4 - Jund Shardland
4 - Fire-Lit Thicket
3 - Reflecting Pool

Goblin Assault and Predator Dragon look really bad. Even Sarkhan Vol doesn't really look any better than Garruk. I think Dragon Fodder is probably playable. Definitely Torrent of Souls, Nantuko Husk, and Marsh Flitters.

Board Jund Charms for Reveillark, maybe Necrogenesis for control, Grave Pact for aggro.

I think maybe green should just be a splash. Dunno though.

Here's what a good token deck looks like pre-rotation: http://www.deckcheck.net/deck.php?id=18627

Ok well I guess I'd maybe change Sarkhan Vol to Garruk and probably should add husk but the dragon seems like he could be really good to me, then again I used to like Rorix.

I don't,really want to cut green,so I'd probably make it more like this.

4 - Birds of Paradise
3 - Llanowar Elf
4 - Sprouting Thrinax
3 - Kitchen Finks
4 - Nantuko Husk
4 - Bitterblossom
3 - Garruk Wildspeaker
3 - Predator Dragon
4 - Marsh Flitter
4 - Chamelon Colossus

4 - Gilt-Leaf Palace
4 - Jund Shardland
4 - Fire-Lit Thicket
3 - Reflecting Pool
3 - Vivid Grove
3 - Karplusan Forest
3 - Llanowar Waste

Creatures:
4 Mycoloth
4 Husk
3 Furystoke Giant
4 Sprouting Thrinax
3 Llanowar Elves
4 Birds of Paradise
3 Siege-Gang Commander
4 Marsh Flitter

Spells:
4 Bitterblossom
3 Torrent of Souls
Soul's Fire? I've been looking at this card, I like it quite a bit.
Makeshift Mannequin? Eh, I used this in the tokens build I'm playing now, I like it. I'll test out a few different builds.
Dragon fodder seems ok too, replaces Mogg War Marshall.
Possibly garruk, or Overrrun? Something like that.
Lands:
4 Reflecting pool
4 Fire-lit Thicket
4 Jund Shardland
3 Vivid Grove
3 Karplusan Forest
3 Llanowar Wastes
3 Graven Cairns?
Eh I dunno, land base will need some work.

I think Siege-Gang, Torrent of Souls, and Furystoke Giant are better 5-drops than Mycoloth or Overrun. Chameleon Colossus is hideously out of place.

With the manabase you have, you have six lands (all painlands) that would let you play your one-drops on turn one, and seven such one-drops. If you want to splash green for Sprouting Thrinax (and some Faerie hate in the board), that might be fine, but I don't think you can justify Finks, Birds, and Elves.

It's hard for me to actually a put a deck together without a new shards patch for mws (even though the shuffler is so horrible it barely helps)but I was trying to make it actually somewhat different then old r/b deck,I just copy/pasting an old deck with 3 new cards and calling it new.

There is nothing wrong with the mws shuffler. Ctrl+S a few more times if you don't like it. The only people who ever complain about it are terrible at Magic.

Okay, you got me. I've been funneling millions into offshore bank accounts by taking advantage of the broken shuffler on MWS.

Also, I've read far too much 2+2 forums to set myself up like that Sad

If you dont think theres something wrong with the shuffler you guys are clearly retarded,it gives the most random fucking draws I've ever seen, and how can you call people bad at magic when you've never came up with/played an orginal deck idea in your life.

Why do you feel the need to talk so much shit? You wonder why people don't post on these fucking forums.

Everything is so serious these days.. its annoying.

Random is kind of the point.

Not even gonna touch the second part.

Next time you get so friggin serious about magic, look on the back of the card and read what it says.. it says GAME... it doesnt say life, it doesnt say you die if you lose, it says GAME.

And yes, when I RANDOMIZE something with a shuffler and it give me RANDOM assortment of cards, I get pissed off too. I wonder if MWS will make a button that just allows me to stack my deck everytime, because thats how this is supposed to be played, right?

Maybe certain people should just stick with masterbation, I bet your win percentage will be might higher. Though DCI points arent awarded for that yet... but then again for 99.999% of the world, dci points DO NOT MATTER!!!

Post  aceben3 Sat Sep 20, 2008 10:03 pm

I'm sorry that my previous comments came out as a personal attack. I'm just defending MWS because through it I've learned everything I claim to know about Magic. Despite the common complaints about it, MWS is still a great tool for getting better.

If you want to do something fun with tokens, I suggest you play Farhaven Elves, Mind Stones, and Warp World. Instead of Overrun, Garuuk, or Furystoke Giant, you would max out on Siege-Gangs. And you would need to put as few non-permanents in your deck as possible.

The rest of my thoughts can be summed up as "different strokes for different folks."

This wasn't even intended to be a serious deck,I just posted it because I was bored, and it just felt like everyone was shitting on me for building a silly deck,Ben i know you weren't probably being serious, but I was half pissed yesterday anyways and i guess just took offense to it,sorry.

Also @ the John: I don't even know who the hell you are or why your flappin your gums about, but if you wanta make masturbating a professional sport go for it....I know magic isnt "life",i know its a game but ya I do take it somewhat serious, and I hate being called a bad player.

As for the shuffler....whatever I guess im the only one that gets bad luck with it,me and Steven practiced with it a lot during block season and their were multiple games were we would get opening hands with no or 1 lands (in 23-24 land decks) or draw 3 copies of a card every game, hell we stopped using it at one point cause it was just to unreliable

Post SoA: BRx Tokens Empty BR Tokenses

Post  tulsatrey Wed Oct 08, 2008 11:10 pm

I'm working on a BR tokens deck for standard because I think Bone Splinters, the devour mechanic, and some of the new cheap token generators could allow it to do some pretty cool things.

Kassem, I can't find your list from regionals. Could you post it and I'll start from there?
