With all those hot cards you couldn't come up with something better than Incurable Ogre as the 23rd card?
4 resounding thunder is pretty amazing though. Yeah I have no idea how anyone ends up with a deck that good.

Must be nice. Gift is pretty slow though, and I would probably run an Obelisk in a deck like this, or at least an 18th land.

17 lands worked just fine cause i lost every die roll like always and had a game 3 only once

Ok, here is what everyone else said what happened. Jim opened the Sarkan Vol but needed something in the pack. He looked at Mike and said I know this is in your color and Ill pass it, but I want it back after the draft. Almost any person would take that to mean its just a loaner, but not Mike, he saw it and took it of course because it was in his colors and said that he would trade it back to him instead of just hate drafting it. He thought Mike and himself had a verbal understanding.
Dick move Mike, Dick move
Dick move Mike, Dick move

You can't do that. Either take the money card and forfeit the opportunity to win more packs, or go for the best possible deck and forfeit the money card.
That being said, unless it is third pack and you are solidly Esper, splashing for Sarkhan was most likely the strongest pick...

Trae:
i can see me doing exactly the same thing some kind of verbal communication and misunderstanding obviously took place i would be happy to get to play the vol even though someone could have rare drafted it but gave me a chance to have a big bomb (with the understanding that i want it back cause im doing you a favor) and probably win the tourney because of it and if you dont like the conditions just say no when you boil it down you can do whatever you want character is the defining issue here

I don't think it has anything to do with character. You either rare draft and lose, or you draft the best possible deck and win. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
That's why I like team drafting. No one feels the need to rare draft. I probably wouldn't ever pass a Sarkhan though.

uhh why not its called community and wheeling and dealing is part of life you can do whatever you can get away with the only thing that can hinder you is trust or lack their of dito on team draft

Re: Here is what i drafted at todd's wed.
Its not a real tournament, its a draft at Todds, I dont even think it was sanctioned. If Allen Iverson were here he would compare it to practice. "Drafting??? We're talking about drafting, at Todds?!?!" Ive done the same thing before, passed something to someone with them knowing that I know it will help them and that Ill pass it if I know Ill get it back when its over, it helps them in the short run, and me in the long. The fact that Mike said yes and then after seeing the card saying what he said, thats what has pissed many people including myself off. And well, you people know if I think something Ill say it. This is a group there most of us are civil/friendly. If Jesse were in Mikes place, the transaction would have been done the second the draft is over. Because Jesse is one honorable guy.Its about trust among friends. Mike has tainted that trust with even more people because of it. Hence why it is a dick move. If Jim would have just assumed he would get it back and it didnt happen, I would have made fun of Jim and called it a day, but speaking for myself, I know if I say Ill do something, Im going to do it, even if I dont want to.

Oh, well if he said he'd trade it back then didn't, that's a different story. I'm just saying that no one has to make that agreement.
There appears to have been a misunderstanding between Mike and Jim (who I don't think I know), and I'd rather let them sort it out than make comments on anyone's character since I wasn't there.

heres my 2 cents if what was said wasnt true it would have been refuted by now cause he was on yesterday when i was furthermore if someone said something like this about me and it was false i would have done gone ape shit momentarily that being said i did something that was kind of a dick move i did not break my word (very low) but it was jerkish but when i put it into perspective i made it right fortunately it was not to late and my honor was salvaged
