Tips from prereleases?

Anyone have any good sealed pointers from prereleases today?

Play panoramas, oblesks, and the come into play tapped lands. Even if the only get 2 of your shards colors. Try and be centered in a shard, even though a shard + splash or double splash can be pulled off rather easily. The sealed format is on the slow side, so draw first generally and random fat (like the common 7 drop cycle with cycling) is good. The mana for the ultimatums is really hard to pull off, so don't try and shoehorn one into your deck.

Or you could just open Hellkite Overlord. He's good I hear.

I was told "play all your nonbasics, Obelisks, and bombs, and ubercyclers are broken" which seems pretty much the same as what Klink said.

I went 4 color GBUG. I cracked a Sarkhan Vol and used his ultimate ability twice! i went 3-1-1 losing in the top 4 to Chelsie running a very fast Naya deck! You should have seen how happy she was to beat me for the first time. She split with David McMath with David dropping to her so she could get 1st. The set is really cool and the new precons are really great! I bought the Grixis Precon, played a couple of games and had a blast.

Scavenger Drake (I thought this card was crap but I needed more creatures. With all the removal I was packing and the 2 Thorn-Trash Viashino, I was able to get the Drake to 4/4, 6/6 and 9/9!

All the lands were great too. I had trepidations running a four color deck but the mana came through and I had very little problems.
